March Favourites.

Skin Care & Mind Care.

1 AURORA – Daisy Jones & The Six

It’s been a while since I’ve been hooked on an album like this; even more shocking as the band isn’t even real.

If you have lived under a rock this past month, Daisy Jones & The Six is an Amazon exclusive short series about a fictional 70s band, and their road to fame.

The series is, despite mixed reviews, very much addictive, yes I have binge-watched it, and that is largely due to this excellent original soundtrack.

2 Hyper Real Serumizer / MAC

I can confirm that the hype is real. I am a MAC girl through and through, and when this came out earlier this year, I immediately integrated it into my skincare routine. I am now nearly at the bottom of my first bottle, and I can see the effect it has on my skin; my skin feels smoother and looks more luminous. Often on off-duty days I wear this completely without makeup, just with my favourite moisturiser on top.

3 Silky Underwear / LUSH

This was a lucky find during my last spa visit; it was sitting on a table in the waiting area of the spa, and I picked it up out of curiosity.

Essentially it is a lightly scented dusting powder, that makes skin feel smooth and nourished. I love to wear this under pieces of lingerie that are more strings than fabric, for a more comfortable wear.

4 Bum Bum Cream / Sol de Janeiro

It is exactly what you would guess it is from the name. On the tub it says “fast-absorbing body cream, helps tighten and smooth”. Plus, it smells absolutely divine. I’ve had the first tub for ages; now that I have stepped up my skincare I am nearly at the bottom of my second large tub, and my skin just feels glorious. Seriously, try it.

5 Bella Grace Magazine

Issue 35 came out at the beginning of March. I’ve been reading this quarterly magazine for a couple of years now, and to me it is a moment of perfect stillness: imagine a comfy couch, a hot cup of tea, rain on the window, and the tactility of a real magazine full of real stories, experiences, and gorgeous photography.

That’s what this magazine represents to me, an afternoon well spent.
