Christina Set Review.

This is a bra set that has definitely grown on me with wear. It is absolutely stunning, especially when first out of the box. Then, however, I started to struggle with the bra. The mesh is very delicate and sheer, and the bikini clasp closure at the back made taking it off a nightmare. But, the more often I wore it, the more I fell in love it. I have grown used to the bikini clasp (having another bra with a similar closure helped), and found that under the right circumstances having your nipples on show isn’t the worst, either.

The Christina Bra was another lucky find for me. Even though it still is available on Bluebella’s website, it never really caught my eye, until I spotted it in TKMaxx. Who can resist a bargain, right? Especially one this pretty.

The Christina Bra is a balconette style bra with fully adjustable straps, underwiring, and a double hook-and-eye closure as well as a small bikini clasp closure at the back.

The cups are underwired, and made from a single layer of very thin, sheer mesh. They have one vertical centre seam for lift. If you don’t like your nipples on show, you will definitely need nipple covers for this one. The cups are embroidered with a beautiful leaf design across the top, as well as on the band between the cups.

The band itself is composed of three elastic straps, two of which end in a double hook-and-eye closure, while the bottom strap closes with a bikini clasp (which I struggled with at first, but ultimately found to be a matter of practice).

The band is true to size, the cups run a little small; if you are between sizes, definitely go up by one on the cups.

This set can be completed by both briefs (pictured here) and/or thongs. Both are made from the same sheer, embroidered mesh as the bra, the front triangle is the same for both bottoms, simply the rear triangle varies in size.

The Christina set is definitely on the sheerer side of my collection, but it’s also one of the most chic and elegant. The more lingerie I try on and collect, the more I find that not everything needs to be out in the open and on display to be seductive. Sometimes a delicate layer of sheer mesh or lace is much better for the imagination.

So, if you are looking for comfortable yet chic set that can be worn every day, but is definitely a seductive classic in the bedroom, this set is a great option.
