What’s New in my Lingerie Drawer – April.

The Pyjama Edit.

Are pyjamas lingerie? Absolutely! Just like your favourite bra and knickers set can influence your mood for the day, so can a luxurious pyjama set absolutely set the tone for your night time routine. After all, where does comfort matter more than at the end of the day, in your own space, where you settle down for the night? When it comes to pyjamas, I myself am very classic; I do prefer the tried-and-tested button-up shirt and bottoms combination; although in summer I do tend to swap the button-up for a lighter camisole. I wasn’t planning on revamping my pyjama collection this month, but with so many pretty options going on sale, how could I resist?

1 Lily rose-dust teddy / Bluebella (aprox. £40.00)

I don’t think I have ever owned a teddy before; although I have a few loungewear rompers. This one I found, again, on Vinted, therefore no price or link, sorry. It is the most delicate sheer pink one-piece, with a beautiful lace detail along the neckline. The three-part shoulder straps cross over at the back. I love the fit, and the light fabric will be perfect for summer getaways.

2 Laurel white camisole + shorts set / Bluebella, £36.00

This is a super-lightweight classic camisole and shorts set with a beautiful feather print. The straps on the camisole are adjustable, and the shorts are wide and come with an elasticated waistband. Again the fabric is rather sheer, but perfect for those hot summer nights.

Unfortunately this set has just sold out. The black satin Laurel set with long bottoms however is still available in limited sizes.

3 Camille white satin short pyjama set / Bluebella, £44.00

This piece is special to me. It is the first Bluebella garment I came across, in an instagram add of all places, and it is what drew me to their website originally. So I am very pleased to have finally added this classic to my collection. The satin is heavy and luxurious, and I absolutely love the print; a black and grey abstract floral on white. This pyjama currently lives in my suitcase, but I would just as happily spend mornings lounging around in it at home.

Review to come.

The Camille also comes in black with a camisole and long bottoms.

4 Laurel white kimono / Bluebella, £44.00

Does it get any more bourgeoise than a morning gown? I love standing in my kitchen in the morning with nothing on but my favourite undergarments and a chic robe. This one matches the white Laurel camisole set featured above, fabric and print are exactly the same. It is very long and, at least on me, trails on the floor in a swishing motion. I love it!

I found this one in TK Maxx, as sadly the kimono has now sold out on the Bluebella website as well.

And there you have all my pretty new nightwear! Did I go a little overboard? Probably. But can you ever have enough lingerie? Absolutely not! Now, do tell, what is your favourite type of nightwear?
