You are worth it.
Welcome back to The Lush Spa on Oxford Street for the seventh time. For full transparency I am getting this out of the way first: This treatment was complimentary. Not for promotion or advertising purposes, though. My previous booking had been cancelled several times in a row due to various unforeseen circumstances, and this was given as an apology. I am very appreciative of this gift, and please let me emphasise that the cancellations were completely out of LUSH’s control, and the amazing staff have made every effort to find me alternative dates and bookings. This was 5* customer service!

If you are new here, I have previously had a Book A Bath, two Tangled Hair treatments, The Spell, a Fresh Facial, and a Tailor Made massage. I am slowly trying my way through the Spa menu, and today I am getting a Validation Facial. Originally I had another Tailor Made booked, but due to staff sicknesses, this didn’t work out (I am still hoping to get a second massage booked when possible).
A Validation Facial is in the +£100 tier at the spa, so definitely a treat. If you are looking for a facial, but £105 is simply too much money, I can definitely recommend the Fresh Facial, which is just as lovely, just a little shorter.
I am very pleased to say that my therapist for today is once again the lovely Shelby. She has previously treated me to the Fresh Facial, as well as the second Tangled Hair treatment.
The consultation for the Validation Facial is much more in-depth than the one for the Fresh Facial, but we quickly settle on an over all glow-up, as my skin is currently in pretty good condition.
And then the magic begins, literally. Shelby has prepared a fruit cocktail for me for after the treatment, which is brewing throughout the treatment, and currently it is sitting in a large glass carafe, with clouds of steam billowing down its sides. A cosy bed is ready for me, and a mix of folk music and lullabies is playing in the darkened therapy room.
This treatment is “down-to-your-knickers”, as it includes a shoulder and arm massage, and the bed is warm, too warm for trousers of any kind.
For the next 60 minutes Shelby is busy first cleaning and scrubbing my face, and then pampering it with a mask and several moisturisers. While the mask is working its magic, I get a very relaxing hot- and cold stone massage, and a long string of positive affirmations whispers through the room (hence the name of the treatment!).
This treatment is amazing! At the end of the 60 minutes I feel refreshed, relaxed, pampered, and bouncing with positive energy! I could not have had a more fitting treatment at the end of my messy work week.
The fruit cocktail turns out to be delicious, and I am once again presented with a bar of the solid serum I loved so much during the last facial!
For the rest of the day I float around on a cloud of happy relaxation.
